As Head of Service for Spinal Injuries Ireland Naomi leads a dynamic team in Ireland’s only NOG for those with a spinal cord injury (SCI). Spinal Injuries Ireland understands that when a SCI occurs, hope can be shattered in an instant and can take time and determination to rebuild. We inspire hope within each person we work with, from the moment of injury, we begin focusing on what is possible, on what a person can do, not what they cannot.
Naomi graduated from Beaumont Hospital Dublin as a Registered General Nurse. She worked in King Edward VII Hospital for Officers in London where she cared of members of the British Royal Family. As Senior Ward Manager, she deputised for the Director of Nursing in the management of the Hospital.
She completed her MSc in Clinical Leadership in UCD in 2013 and achieved her Fellowship with the Faculty of the School of Nursing and Midwifery RCSI 2015. She has been awarded Honorary Teaching Associate with the RSCI School of Nursing and Midwifery. Naomi embraces the challenges of working in the area of spinal injuries, finding innovative solutions to meet the strategic objectives of the organisation. Collaborating with allied healthcare professionals and key stakeholders is essential to enhance the lives of the 3 people diagnosed with life altering SCI each week in Ireland.
